Over 50 Baseball-Themed Attractions In, Around Lumen Field

Major League Baseball and the Seattle Mariners today unveiled a first look at the focal point of All-Star Week fan engagement: Capital One All-Star Village. Capital One All-Star Village encompasses the Mariners home, T-Mobile Park, as well as Lumen Field and the Event Center, which will host Capital One PLAY BALL PARK and the MLB Draft.

MLB and the Mariners also announced an all-time lineup of former Seattle baseball greats who will attend Capital One PLAY BALL PARK to sign autographs, participate in clinics, lead demonstrations and pose for photos with fans at Capital One PLAY BALL PARK from July 8th-11th at Lumen Field. Former Mariners All-Stars including Edgar Martinez, Bret Boone and Mike Cameron are among the special guests making appearances at PLAY BALL PARK, the world’s largest and most playable baseball & softball festival. Altogether, more than 20 former Mariners are scheduled to appear thus far, including Raul Ibañez, Harold Reynolds and Kazuhiro Sasaki.

With a new host location again this year, the MLB Draft will be situated inside Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, surrounded by some of the most unique attractions the baseball theme park has to offer. Opening night of the Draft begins Sunday, July 9th, at 4:00 p.m. PT in Lumen Field. The new Draft location allows more fans than ever the chance to see their favorite teams select the next generation of stars. This is the third year in a row that the MLB Draft will be featured during All-Star Week and accessible to fans.

Throughout the four days of Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, fans have opportunities to receive free autographs and participate in question-and-answer sessions and clinics led by former players, all of which is included with the price of admission to PLAY BALL PARK’s indoor section. Regular admission costs $35, but for a limited time, fans can purchase $10 tickets at AllStarGame.com with the code PBPO. Eligible Capital One cardholders receive four free tickets to Capital One PLAY BALL PARK and can redeem them here while supplies last. Access to all activities outside Lumen Field are free of charge.  

In addition to free tickets, eligible Capital One cardholders also receive exclusive access to Capital One PLAY BALL PARK, as well as dedicated Capital One cardholder entrances and express lanes at the most popular attractions.

Capital One PLAY BALL PARK opens Saturday, July 8th and runs through Tuesday, July 11th. Hours of operation on Saturday and Sunday are 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Hours of operation on Monday and Tuesday are 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. It is the world’s largest and most playable baseball and softball festival with more than 50 indoor and outdoor attractions for fans of all ages. Indoor PLAY BALL PARK attractions are included in the price of admission, and the only additional costs are for concessions and memorabilia. Access to the outdoor sections of PLAY BALL PARK outside Lumen Field is free for everyone.
