Cash-to-card FAQs

Is the entire stadium cashless?
Collapse and expand icon

On game or event days, all concessions, parking, and retail will accept card purchases only. We will continue to have roaming vendors (hawkers) in the stadium and they will all be equipped with card swipers as well.

Cash tips for NPO volunteers at concession stands, bartenders and vendors will still be accepted. (Though bartenders and vendors can be tipped electronically as well.) Additionally, the box office will accept cash, as will third-party vendors hosting events inside the Event Center or WAMU Theater and selling merchandise (ex: consumer trade show vendors).

What do I do if I only have cash with me?
Collapse and expand icon

We recognize that there are people who may not have credit or debit cards, or just prefer to use cash. There will be 10 cash-to-card kiosks around the stadium and event center. Attendees with cash who do not have or want to use a valid credit or debit card can insert their cash into the self-service kiosk and get a prepaid card back.  You can load any amount of money from $1 up to $500 per card and there is no transaction fee. The cards can be used inside or outside the stadium; so, if you have money left after an event, take the card with you and use it everywhere major cards are accepted.

Will this apply for every single event at the stadium, Event Center, and WAMU Theater?
