Matchday Activities

Traffic Alert - ARRIVE EARLY

Due to a 1:10 PM Mariners game, expect heavier than normal traffic delays, limited parking, and increased parking prices in the area. Additionally, the onramp to northbound SR 99 from the eastbound Seattle bridge is closed due to a large pothole.

Please plan ahead and check WSDOT to map your route to the match around other sporting events in the city and lane closures on major highways.

We encourage fans to Protect Our Planet and utilize public transportation (check out our Transportation Guide) or take advantage of our complimentary Bike Valet in the North Lot (see details further down this page).

LINK LIGHT RAIL SERVICE DISRUPTION

The Link Light Rail has a service disruption until further notice which will impact any riders taking the Light Rail to SFC matches. Please be prepared for delays as trains are running every 15-20 minutes at all Light Rail stations.

1 Line trains are single-tracking between Westlake and Stadium Stations until further notice.

All trains from Angle Lake Station and Northgate Station are currently terminating at Pioneer Square and riders continuing beyond Pioneer Square Station will need to transfer between trains.

All trains at Westlake, University Street, and International District/Chinatown Stations are boarding at a single platform (reminder that International District/Chinatown Station is the closest stop to Lumen Field).

If you are coming to the match from up north via Light Rail, you will have to switch trains at Pioneer Square Station to get to International District/Chinatown Station next to the stadium. Alternatively, you can exit Pioneer Square Station and walk to Lumen Field from there if you are able.

If you are coming to the match from the south via Light Rail, you will get off at International District/Chinatown Station before needing to swap trains at Pioneer Square Station, but please be aware that there will still be delays with trains running less frequently from both directions.

Sound Transit is encouraging riders to seek alternative service options and plan ahead for additional travel time.

Pop-Up Exhibit by Wing Luke: Nobody Lives Here

Stop by Soccer Celebration outside of Section 144 to see how artist and historian Tessa Hulls illuminates the businesses, homes, and people who were displaced when the I-5 freeway was built through the CID in the 1960s. Using historic photos, oral histories, and archival research, the exhibit connects these specific histories to broader themes of racist land use policy and the erasure of marginalized communities - nationally and locally, past and present.

Toyota Crossbar Challenge

Fans can participate in the Toyota Crossbar Challenge behind section 144! If you are one of the first five fans to hit the crossbar, you will have the chance to go down on the pitch and take your shot at the crossbar during halftime of Sunday's match! For every Crossbar hit on the pitch, Toyota is donating $1,000 to the RAVE Foundation!
